DEMO DISC is a playable teaser for SURVIVAL HORROR, a FIST third-party supplement currently in development.

The rural countryside of the Balkans, 197X. The daughter of a Yugoslavian politician has gone missing, and the trail leads to a remote village undergoing a religious rebirth - and ties to a shadowy pharmaceutical company claiming to only wish to provide assistance to the ailing villagers.

SURVIVAL HORROR is FIST supplement I am currently working on, inspired by Biocalypse by Club Xero as well as classic survival horror games, predominantly Resident Evil and Silent Hill. The full book will include new mechanics for adding puzzles to FIST in the form of the LOCK & KEY system, creating virulent infections to add to your enemies to mutate and alter your players, methods for creating descending loops of terror via Otherworlds, and optional lore and missions using the systems.

DEMO DISC is a short mission centered around the STRAIN system - the enemies within can infect players with a parasite, granting them the CENTIPEDE trait from the core book - with the caveat of succumbing to the mind control of the village ELDER if they can't complete the mission in time. It also touches on the lock and key system, a carryover from Biocalypse - define 'Locks', and hide the 'Keys' throughout the mission, allowing your players to solve the puzzles by exploring the world.

DEMO DISC is being submitted to FIST JAM-OPS VI, and while it doesn't follow the theme of the jam, it is my very first official submission of any kind of homebrew, so i'm excited to put it out there, and to hopefully get the full SURVIVAL HORROR out in style.
